Top Ten Quarterbacks of All Time


The top ten quarterbacks all had special abilities that carried them to victory. Many of the quarterbacks are well known college athletes but I will talk about the greatest NFL quarterbacks.

 #10  Bartt Starr
Bartt Starr is a very amazing Q-B. He was a throw on the run type and pretty fast player that could throw a tight spiral. Bartt won Super Bowl I and II under Vince Lombardi which is also the name of the Super Bowl trophy. He scored the winning touchdown in a super bowl.

#9  Bret Favre
Brett Favre was an athletic player. He could run, pass, and win. he won 1 super bowl 35-21. He could throw bullet passes that are very accurate. He is known for his years at the Packers and Vikings. Though he made a very bad pass to lose to the Saints in an NFC championship. The saints won the super bowl but the Vikings would easily have won.



 












#8  Jim Kelly and Roger Staubach

Jim Kelly was a very famous quarterback who won. Jim Kelly visited 4 super bowls but did not win one, but made $$$$. He had a very high completion percentage and led his team to win after win. He played for the Buffalo Bills his whole career.

Roger Staubach was a Dallas Cowboy. Roger Staubach places 2nd in most starts and wins. He could throw a tight spiral and was a pocket passer. Roger staubach won a whole lot and got them to a few super bowls.






#7 John Elway
John Elway is the first Bronco on this list. He could run, but he could mainly pass the ball in a tight spiral. John Elway won 2 super bowls in a row and was awarded the MVP of his second win. He has a very famous run where he runs, gets hit, and spins like a helicopter.
 












                               








#6 Steve Young

   Steve Young played for the 49ers and won 1 Super Bowl. He could scramble and pass very good. he was a big threat to many teams and was a tough guy who was hard to sack. In the Super Bowl he won he passed for 6 touchdowns. Steve Young had super good wide receivers which made the team almost impossible to beat.

#5 Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning is a tight pocket passer who could throw a perfect pass. He won 1 Super Bowl against the Chicago Bears. Peyton manning was drafted to the Colts and then went to the Denver Broncos. He could not win a super after that with a loss 31-17 saints and 43-8 Seahawks. But Peyton Manning is still at the top of the list with passing yards.

#4 Dan Marino
Dan Marino is a one and only Dolphin Quarterback to be a super bowl MVP. He was a pocket passer that was very accurate and piled up the $$$ and stats. Dan was breaking records at his time period so he inched up in the top ten Q-B's of all time. For a long time period he was #1 but quarterbacks have got better over time.




























#3 Joe Namath

 Joe Namath was an amazing quarterback that still is know even though he played in the 1960s and 70s. In super bowl III (3) Joe Namath guaranteed a victory even though they were big underdogs. But then Joe's Jets beat Johnny Unitas and his Colts. He is also known for his super quick release, but sometimes he was to quick.

#2 Tom Brady

Tom Brady is amazing! Tom is tied with most super bowls won by a quarterback at 4. He keeps piling up his stats and wont stop. Tom is a leader on the Patriots.  He can play any time and is still amazing getting about 13.2 million a year. He can throw on the run and in pocket though his o-line has never been very good.

#1 Joe Montana

Joe Montana is number ONE. He ties with Tom Brady in most Super Bowls won as a Q-B. He holds more than 30 records. He passed amazingly and was a the starting quarterback in front of  Steve Young. Joe Had many good receivers so there team was unstoppable. He was amazingly accurate and when Tom Brady was a kid he said "Joe Montana is my man." He took the ball down the field in the last drive and threw all complete passes and threw for a touchdown and got the nickname "Joe Cool". He also took over a super bowl to win 52-10.
